What this covers

Septic Tank Pumping Contractor. Permitted to remove and dispose of domestic septage from septic tanks, holding tanks, portable toilets and similar facilities, and to pump grease traps that are part of a septic system.

A Tennessee installer permit is valid in all 95 counties, not only the counties listed beside it on the state roster. The nine contract counties — Blount, Davidson, Hamilton, Jefferson, Knox, Madison, Sevier, Shelby and Williamson — run their own septic programs and may require an additional local permit. Every permit expires on December 31 and must be renewed.
