Contractors register with each health district and carry a surety bond filed with ODH, so we verify against the published ODH bonding lists and say so plainly. A bond is a filing, not an endorsement — ask for proof of insurance and references before hiring.

STS Service Provider. Registered to service sewage treatment systems, but not to install or alter them.
Septage Hauler. Registered to collect, transport, dispose of and land-apply domestic septage.
STS Installer. Registered to install or alter sewage treatment systems.
Ohio registers contractors district by district: a separate registration is required in each local health district where work is performed, and in each category of work. A registration in one county does not carry to another.
