Pickaway County Public Health issues operation and maintenance permits under two board of health resolutions of its own, #14-66 and #16-18, on top of the state rule. A non-mechanical system with a soil absorption component carries a three-year permit with at least one inspection during the term; mechanical systems and discharging NPDES systems carry one-year permits, expiring 31 December each year.

The dominant constraint here is a water table close to the surface (29.2% of rated soils), followed by water standing on the surface (23.2%).
