Zoning & land use

Montour County sets its own floor for a septic lot. Table 5 at Section 4.04.2 of the county subdivision ordinance requires 43,560 square feet — one acre — and 100 feet of width for any dwelling on on-lot water and sewage, and its footnote allows the county to demand more where more than one system is proposed on a single lot. The ordinance governs directly in municipalities that have not adopted their own subdivision ordinance.
