Clermont County's own sewage code goes past the state floor. Regulation 415-10(A) requires soil absorption components to keep a vertical separation of at least two feet to any limiting condition, where the state default is twelve inches. Operation assessments run every 19 months for a system with an electrical component and every 38 months for everything else, stretching to 38 and 76 months while the property holds an approved operation-and-maintenance designation — which is voided whenever the home changes owners.

The dominant constraint here is a water table close to the surface (30.6% of rated soils), followed by a fragipan -- a dense pan that stops water moving down (29.3%).
