Fayette County Public Health publishes that septic and well inspections are required in the sale of any property served by them. It samples and inspects the well before a property is sold, and defects must be corrected before the sale goes through. Its sewage program covers permitting, site evaluation, system design, installation and operational inspections, soil surveys of the disposal and replacement areas, lot splits and subdivision review.
