Knox County's subdivision regulations put the district board of health into the plat process. Within three days of a preliminary plat being filed, the county planning commission must transmit a copy to the county engineer and to the Knox County District Board of Health for their study and recommendations, and the preliminary plat has to carry a test for an individual sewage disposal system made under the board of health's own Regulation 801.
