Lorain County Public Health's local rules run stricter than the state floor and fix the sewer question. Vertical separation to the seasonal water table is eighteen inches, with six inches of unsaturated in-situ soil. A property is deemed accessible to a sanitary sewerage system when the foundation wall of the residence is 200 feet or less from the nearest right-of-way boundary, though the district may let a homeowner delay connection up to seven years from the system's installation.
