Zoning & land use

Mahoning County Public Health requires all septics and wells to be tested prior to the sale of a home. A site approval it issues is valid five years from approval; an installation permit is valid one year from issue, transfers with the property on sale, and may be extended a further six months. A vacant lot platted as not buildable until it conforms to the rules need not submit a site review application.
